YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy

Last updated 30 October 2026. Europe, Made Clear is an independent information project published by an individual with 20 years of experience in the IT industry. This page describes the information used by the site and its hosting and contact services.

01

Publisher and responsibility

Europe, Made Clear is published by an individual with 20 years of experience in the IT industry. The publisher is responsible for the information it collects directly through this site.

This site provides general relocation information. It does not require an account or maintain a server-side database of move-planner selections or checklist progress.

02

Planner and checklist data

The move planner uses your selections in your browser to create a checklist; the site does not send your destination, citizenship or status, or moving situation to the publisher.

Checklist choices and planner task progress are saved in local storage in your browser on that device and are not synced to other devices. Clear this site’s browser data to remove them. The site does not use advertising trackers; Google Analytics 4 is described below.

03

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with measurement ID G-MMBQVM9YKM to understand aggregate page visits, language and country-level usage, and how visitors find the guides. GA4 may process technical information such as device, browser, approximate location and online identifiers; the publisher does not use it to identify you by name.

Analytics is off until you choose. When you first visit, a banner asks whether to allow it. Google’s measurement script is not loaded, and no analytics cookies are set, unless you accept. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the analytics settings button in the footer.

You can also restrict cookies or measurement storage through your browser settings. Review Google’s current privacy information for details about its processing.

04

Contact messages

The contact form sends your name, email address and message over HTTPS to this website’s own server, which emails them to the publisher’s mailbox at the hosting provider. No third-party form service is used. The server may keep technical information such as your IP address in its logs, and keeps a short-lived, hashed record of your connection only to limit spam and repeated submissions; review the hosting provider’s privacy notice.

Use the form for guide corrections or general questions. Do not send passport or tax numbers, health information, payment details or other sensitive information. The publisher uses messages to reply and manage corrections, and deletes them when they are no longer needed.

05

Hosting

Bluehost hosts this website. In providing hosting, the provider may process technical connection or request information, such as IP address, page URL, browser or device details and server logs, for service operation, troubleshooting and security. Bluehost links to the Newfold Digital Privacy Notice for information about its privacy practices; review it along with the terms for your hosting plan.

Log collection and retention depend on the hosting service and account settings. Google Analytics 4 may process limited technical and usage information as described above; the site does not add advertising trackers.

06

External links and privacy requests

The guides link to official government, municipal, European Union and service-provider websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices and policies; review them after following a link.

When the contact form is active, use the Contact page for questions about a message or to make a request under privacy rights that apply to you. You can clear checklist data at any time by deleting this site’s local browser storage.

07

Your choices and rights

Your analytics choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the name emc-analytics so the banner is not shown on every visit. Declining, or clearing this site’s browser data, removes it. The guides, planner and checklists work the same whichever you choose.

If you accept, Google may process measurement data on servers outside the European Economic Area under its own terms. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent and to complain to your data protection authority. Use the Contact page for requests about a message you sent; for analytics data, withdrawing consent stops further measurement from your browser.
